Hawai'i Nei Plumeria fragranced artisan soap

The tradition of lei-giving is beautiful and full of meaning. When you arrive at your destination, your host bestows a fragrant strand of tropical flowers around your neck. Each lei is artfully and colorfully arranged in a unique pattern. You are surrounded by sweet, even fruity-smelling, absolutely stunning fresh flowers and it feels like such an honor to be given one.

This scent reminds me of just that experience. I am lucky enough to have family members who live in Hawai'i, and I always look forward to the beautiful lei they will give us when we arrive for a visit. Plumeria trees are abundant on the islands, and white or yellow or pink flowers litter the ground; the trees are just dripping with blooms. This fragrance is sweet, floral, and a little bit fruity, just like a plumeria.

"Nei" means "this" when it follows nouns and pronouns, and denotes affection and nearness, like one dearly loved: This Hawai'i, this beloved Hawai'i.

This soap is palm free! Coconut oil, olive oil, avocado oil, and castor oil join mango butter, resulting in a soap with great lather and a nourishing feel.
